Florence A. Simms, 95, of Providence, died Sunday, September 5, 2015.  She was the wife of the late Edward J. Simms. 

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Nicolina (Stracqualusi) Trementozzi.

Mrs. Simms was employed by Interpak of Pawtucket prior to her retirement.  Throughout her working career she held various office positions.

She is survived by her daughters Veronica A. Hass of Seekonk and Eileen F. Crowe of Harrisville, NH; her son Edward J. Simms Jr. of Warwick; her brother Ronald Trementozzi of Smithfield and 5 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Raymond and Henry Trementozzi, Maria “Margie” Doyle, Ida Maccarone, Irene Mazur and Elsie Corbitt.

Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9:45 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Presentation of the BVM Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence.  Burial will be in Mount St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket.  Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 pm.
