Dennis Walsh (DW), born February 26, 1945, died at the Veterans' Hospital in West New Haven, CT, on October 28, 2016.

Born in Lincoln, Rhode Island, he was a long time resident of North Providence. He attended Tolman High School where he played football. 

He was a long time horse groomer for many stables.

Dennis served in the U.S. Army 1966-1968. He fought at the battle of Dak To, Viet Nam, as a LRRP with the 4th infantry division. A member of the DAV, he was very active and concerned with veterans' rights. 

He was an avid football and horse racing fan.

Visitation will take place on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 9:30-11:30 am at Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln.

Inurnment with military honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter at 1:00 pm.
