Sarah Stefanik, 89, of Cumberland, died Sunday, January 8, 2017. She was the beloved wife of John J. Stefanik.

Born in Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Jerome and Maria (Sousa) Martins.

Mrs. Stefanik was employed by Sidney Blumenthal and Hasbro Manufacturing Co. prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church and a member of Burnt Store Colony Residents Organization.

She is also survived by her son John M. Stefanik and Joyce Glode; her daughter Karen Rhault and her husband Stephen; brothers Alfred and Jerome Martin; granddaughters Tammy Longo, Lisa Stefanik and Justine Paradis; grandsons Joshua Stefanik and Jeremy Rhault; 4 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Antonio Martin, Abel Martin, Neva Martin, Manuel Martin, Edward Martin, Adaline McCaffrey, Georgiana Lawrence, Anna Fonte and Irene Martin.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:30 am from the Lincoln Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church, Broad St., Cumberland. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.

Calling hours are on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 pm.
