Doris M. (Facteau) Trahan, Ackerman, 90, formerly of 2065 Mendon Road, Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3rd at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Leon Ackerman and the late Gerard P. Trahan. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Mae (Letourneau) Facteau, she had lived in Cumberland for the past 15 years.

She is survived by her children: Ronald C. Trahan and his wife, Marcia, of Medfield, MA; Stephen P. Trahan, of Vero Beach, FL; Diane Santarelli and her husband William, of Vero Beach, FL; Gayle M. Aldrich, of Cumberland; and her two sisters: Beatrice Jackson and her husband James of Pawtucket, and Elaine Beausoleil and her husband Raymond of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Ernest Facteau, Robert Facteau, Mildred Pariseau, Eleanor Carter, and Norma Alarie.

A private graveside ceremony will be observed at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Ackerman’s memory to Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence RI 02906-9826 would be appreciated.
